Temari (手毬) is a traditional Japanese handcrafted ball, originally made as a toy for children. 

In Japan, Temari symbolizes happiness, prosperity, and good fortune, often given as a gift for special occasions such as New Year’s. Today, Temari is valued as an art piece rather than a toy, with many artisans continuing to preserve this beautiful tradition.
